What Did You Say?

I have become one of those parents who answers every question with "Let me tell you the funny thing my kid did today." So I'm sure I've already told most of you these stories. And yes, I do realize that "funny" is subjective.

PEE STORY
One day on our way home Noah fell asleep for 10 minutes in the car. When I transferred him to the bed he woke up so I told him to go back to sleep. After lying in bed for an hour he was still unable to fall asleep so I gave up and asked him if he needed to go potty. But when I checked his diaper he already peed in it. So I said "Why didn't you tell me you needed to go pee?" He said "I did", I asked "When?" He took a good look at his empty wrist and said "I don't have a watch..."

TRIKE STORY
Noah learned to ride his tricycle recently and he likes putting his trains in the basket while he rides around the house. The other day his friend came over and was riding the tricycle when he took a big spill. Noah ran over and saw the tricycle overturned, his friend sprawled out on the floor and said "Oh no! My trains!"

PHOTO STORY
About a year ago Noah was on Bryan's bed looking at our wedding photo hanging up on the wall. (You know, the ones you take at professional wedding studios in Asia where they make you much more beautiful than you really are.) I asked him "Whose this?" He answered "Daddy". Then I pointed to me in the photo and asked him "Whose that?" and he said "Auntie".
